So, I got "conditionally accepted" to NSCAD. Yay for that.

(What that means is, they liked my stuff, but my problem in observational drawing is I do 90% observing, 10% imagining. . . Maybe even more. So, I get watched a bit more, to help push myself to draw ONLY what I see, and stop filling in holes with what I want to see.) So much paperwork to do for Student Visas and stuff. But I get to move in with Jag-san/Jaggie and her boyfriend, so it'll be worth it in the end. ;D
What else could be an "update". . . Um. . . Not really much I can think of. Borderlands is amazingly fun, as I had expected -- I'm a bit disappointed it's not up for Game of the Year (at least, from what I've seen/heard), instead those nominations being filled with junk like ODST, Modern Warfare 2, etc. Bleh. Oh well. Left 4 Dead 2 also delivers, though I'm still a tad upset at how quickly it came out. Much fun there -- if you've always been interested in the game, try out a demo of the sequel. Left 4 Dead 2 feels more complete than the first game, though I'll still miss Zoey and her movie quoting lines. Heheh. Also, Dungeons and Dragons Online is now free-to-play. Check it out -- one of the better MMOs out on the market.
Not much else to say, so. . . Onwards to actual art stuff again?
I cleaned up my dA gallery a little bit. Realizing that I'm now going to be attending a respectable art school, I realized some of the stuff in my main gallery (not scrapbook) was not exactly. . . "Professional", I guess? I mean, I know my stuff isn't amazing or anything compared to some artists out there (some day I'll catch up.

), but all the same. . .
Let's use the biggest example, and probably one I'm going to get a question or two about: The Castle Crashers I drew. I appreciate that so many people favorited that thing -- really, I do. It was my most favorited piece in my gallery. But, the problem is, search "Castle Crashers" and look at the most popular stuff of all time. Most of that is true fan art there, I think -- drawing something in your own style, trying to match the look while also giving your own spin on it so many people can enjoy it. The Castle Crashers piece I did? That was a completely referenced material, drawn by Dan Paladin; while I liked how it came out, part of me also felt a bit ashamed every time it got favorited. It wasn't truly my work, but only an attempt at being a look-alike.
So I took it down, as well as a few other pieces. I also moved some messier stuff to my scrapbook, where it belongs. So if you can't find a piece you like of mine, either it got moved and you'll need to glance to the scrapbook, or I deleted it off my page. Sorry.
That's about all I can think of, really.
